The mission of the Down Syndrome Association of Miami is to educate the Miami-Dade community about Down syndrome and to promote positive acceptance of individuals living with Down syndrome. We strive to illustrate that living, learning, and working with individuals with Down syndrome is a natural part of the daily lives of every person in our community.
We celebrate each life that is born with Down syndrome.

These one-hour weekly group sessions will consist of 4-5 children/teens(grouped according to abilities) and will focus on learning suitable behaviors and language skills facilitated through activities, conversations and games. These therapy groups allow the children/teens to learn and practice peer interaction skills, providing them with the proficiency they need for daily communicative interactions.
These one-hour sessions will take place on Saturdays in the South Miami area and will be funded by the DSAOM. We will randomly be selecting 20 children at a time to participate in these sessions. Each session will last 3 months in order for us to be able to serve as many children as possible. If you are interested in having your child attend these sessions please contact us by clicking Here.
